Virginia Hospital Center Partnership

We have formed a working partnership with Virginia Hospital Center (VHC) in Arlington, VA. For over 60 years, VHC has provided exceptional medical services to the Washington metropolitan area. They are a community-based hospital and they have been serving their community well for a long time.

We are working with the Virginia Hospital Center's Foundation, which is a fully recognized 501(c)3 charitable organization. The Virginia Hospital Center Foundation was established to raise funds

to help ensure that the Hospital has the resources needed to continue to provide the highest-quality healthcare to the community by expanding services, offering the most advanced medical technology, and providing care to all in need regardless of their ability to pay.

As part of our partnership with VHC, they have created the Christopher Carter Memorial Fund. The purpose of this fund will be to subsidize diabetes education, prevention and treatment at Virginia Hospital Center (VHC). 100% of all money donated to this fund will be used for this specific purpose. In other words, every penny of your donations will go directly towards this great cause. No gift is too small, so if you would like to donate today, please visit our Donate section (link also found in the left navigation bar).

One goal of the money raised into this fund is to, ultimately, help the VHC establish a specialized diabetes treatment and education clinic within the hospital. This clinic will provide medical care for individuals living with diabetes in underserved and uninsured populations. Your gifts can directly help make this clinic a reality!

Lastly, on a more personal level, the Virginia Hospital Center was the location where our good friend Chris was rushed in March 2009 as he fell ill due to his diabetic complications. The care and treatment he received at the hospital during his final days was excellent. As such, we are proud to call the VHC our partner!
