The
first annual Christopher Carter Memorial
5K Run/Walk officially hit the streets of Arlington, VA,
on Saturday, June 4, 2011, and we’re
proud to announce it was a smash success!! The event featured over 400
runners/walkers, well over 30 volunteers, numerous corporate and individual
sponsors, and many more supportive friends and family members that came out for
the festivities and post-race activities.

Just a reminder to go register for our big 5K walk/run event
coming this June, if you have not done so already. Those who register before

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is hosting their
annual Tour de Cure bike ride in DC on Sunday, June 5 (the day after our 5K). And,
a group of local (VA) riders are planning to participate in that event for the
benefit of The Christopher Carter Foundation! After fulfilling their charity
obligations to the ADA,
they intend to give everything else they raise to our great cause. If you are
interested in joining them on their bike ride, sponsoring one of them as a
rider, or just learning more about what they are doing, please email Carrie Showalter
